Recovery Meetings
Recovery meetings are a vital part of your journey. The team at Luna Recovery Services is committed to helping clients live an addiction-free life. In addition to treatment received at Luna, consider the following community support and recovery groups.
12-Step Recovery
The 12-Steps are guiding principles that define a course of action to realistically address drug and alcohol addiction. They encourage humility, courage, forgiveness and self-discipline. There is little to no cost. You’re welcomed to a peer group that relates to your pain, your struggles and need to overcome them.
Refuge Recovery
Refuge Recovery is a practice, a set of tools, a treatment and a path to healing addiction the suffering caused by it. The main inspiration and guiding philosophy for the program are teachings of Siddhartha (Sid) Gautama. Gautama was a radical psychologist and a spiritual revolutionary. He became known as the Buddha, and his teachings are known as Buddhism. The Refuge Recovery program has adapted the core teachings of the Buddha as a treatment addiction.
SMART Recovery
SMART Recovery (Self-Management and Recovery Training) is not a 12-Step group like AA or Narcotics Anonymous (NA). It’s a cross-talk therapy. SMART Recovery’s 4-Point Program helps people recover from all types of addictive behaviors, including:
- Alcoholism
- Drug abuse
- Substance abuse
- Gambling addiction
- Cocaine addiction
- Addiction to other substances and activities
